Biography
Mitch Piper is an Associate Attorney in Braun Kendrick’s litigation department. Mitch’s practice focuses on civil litigation with an emphasis on commercial and real estate disputes, employment matters, and insurance defense.
While in law school, Mitch regularly made the Dean’s List and received the Jurisprudence Award for the highest mark in several law school classes. Mitch was active in MSU’s moot court program. He won awards for best brief and top oral advocate at national moot court competitions, and, in his final year, he was elected by his peers as President of the Board of Advocates. Additionally, Mitch was a clinician at MSU’s Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic where he represented clients before the IRS, Michigan Department of Treasury, and the U.S. Tax Court. He also interned at the 10th Circuit Court for the County of Saginaw.
Prior to his legal career, Mitch worked in the higher-education field. His roles included implementing new programs and managing employee, government, and stakeholder relations.
